Your case information should stay private.
This policy explains the information California Divorce Resources collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
We may collect account information such as your name and email, saved case-organization information, court dates, checklist progress, financial-organizer entries, support requests, and information you choose to submit to premium tools.
Uploaded court documents
Documents sent through “I Got Something From the Court” are placed in private temporary storage for analysis and are deleted from that temporary storage after analysis completes. The app does not intentionally save a permanent copy of the uploaded source document as part of My Case.
Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. California Divorce Resources receives payment and transaction information needed to grant account access, but does not store full payment-card numbers.
Private workspace and ordinary administration
Information you save in private case-organization tools is intended for your personal use. Our ordinary administrative dashboard is designed to manage accounts, access, payments, coupons, support, and limited usage records without displaying your saved case profile, financial-organizer entries, court dates, checklists, uploaded documents, or other private case-workspace content. We do not promise that information is technically inaccessible in every circumstance; authorized technical access may be necessary for security, legal obligations, system maintenance, or incident response.
Limited account and premium-use records
For security, customer support, and refund review, we record account creation, login/session activity, entitlement status, and limited premium-feature usage. Ordinary admin reporting may show that premium features were used and when, but is designed not to display the private content entered into those features.
How information is used
- Provide and secure your account and saved workspace.
- Deliver requested tools, reminders, and personalized organization features.
- Process purchases, coupons, customer support, and refund requests.
- Maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We use service providers needed to operate the product, such as hosting, authentication, payment processing, push notifications, storage, and AI processing. We do not sell personal information or use your divorce information for advertising.
Your choices
You can stop using saved features, disable reminders, delete the private Self-Represented Case Prep workspace from that workspace, or delete your account and saved case data from Account settings. Some limited transaction or support records may need to be retained when required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Security and sensitive information
No online service can promise absolute security. We use authenticated, server-scoped access for saved case data and encourage users not to enter Social Security numbers, passwords, or full financial account numbers.
Children
The service is intended for adults managing their own California family-law matters and is not directed to children under 18.
